Evolution Spas utilize a blanket insulation system called 'Thermazone'. The benefit of this system over 'full foam' alternatives is two-fold. Firstly you benefit from reduced running costs, plus your hot tub becomes easier to maintain without all the plumbing system being immersed in close-cell foam.
With our system, the interior of your spa is one accessible, dry and warm environment, utilizing the waste heat energy from the hot tub's working components to your advantage - the water flowing through the pipe work is enveloped by a warm atmosphere limiting heat loss to an absolute minimum. Thermazone insulates in 3 ways;
The top of the hot tub is insulated via the high quality thermal lid
The permimeter is 'wrapped' in a reflective thermal blanket 'heat-shield', trapping in the warm air
The floor of the hot tub is insulated with high density foam
Note: Upon service/repair full foam hot tubs require the foam to be physically chipped away to access the required area. This is time consuming and consequently expensive, and once disturbed, the heat retention ability of this area becomes compromised.
