Whose Buying Hot Tubs In The UK?
Hot tubs seem to be 'the next big thing' but are they really all that popular and if so, who exactly is buying them?
There was a time, not so long ago in the UK, where hot tubs were a toy for the financially well healed. Although to a certain extent
that may still be the case, there is another type of customer buying these products in significant volume. That cutomer type is
the 'average British consumer', a homeowner, often with children, with a modest disposable income and the ability to justify the
purchase of a hot tub as a long term investment.
Many of these customers outlay anything from £3000 to £8000, quite a sum of money. But is really all that outlandish? after all if we look
at 'similar' home improvement products such as a conservatories, they cost anywhere from £5000 upwards
and in the same way as hot tubs, facilitate a way of life - a lifestyle improvement.
So how are average people affording to buy hot tubs?
Well finance schemes are certainly helping. Ross Phillipson from hot tub retailer www.thehottubssuperstore.co.uk says,"60-70% of our hot tubs
are bought using finance, after all we are talking about considerable sums of money so it comes as no suprise people are looking at
various ways to aquire such a large purchase".
